Using open coat 320 sandpaper

Using as a pin hole filler and UV block on my fiberglass parts (cowl, wing tips, etc) .  Noticing that it shears more than sands like paint.  Meaning that I get little rolls of material as I sand, like the pieces that come off of an eraser when your erasing.  Just wondering if this is correct.  I was expecting dust like when sanding fiberglass or filler.

It sands adequately, but needs more pressure. more on the rubbery side.

What you may have happening is as the paper becomes dull it rolls the ekofill into balls as you describe. Also the higher the humidity the more likely the EkoFill will "ball up" than make dust. Excessive pressure also makes balls instead of dust.

It sands best if you put lighter coats on and sand about 30-45 min after spraying.

Toss the sand paper as soon as it gets dull.

Also do NOT use E620W (white EkoFill) with a brush or as a filler. It does not have the solids that the grey EkoFill has. Use white EkoPrime or EkoPoxy as your filler and spray with a 1.4 or 1.5 nozzle on the gun.
