Hi Jason

What is the best way to clean EkoBond off the bottom of the Iron?

Many thanks

I used 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner #08984.  My hobby iron had quite a bit of glue on it, so much that it was starting to drag as I was moving it over the fabric. I put the adhesive cleaner on a folded paper towel, towel on the work bench and rubbed the cool iron on the towel. It took a lot of rubbing but I could see the towel turning green so I knew the glue was coming off. It didn't get all the glue off but it's smooth now, no drag when when using it. The cleaner has an oily feel to it so I cleaned the iron with denatured alcohol before using it again.

I've started using the adhesive cleaner on the warm iron, rather than a cool iron and a cotton rag, rather than a paper towel. It works much better.

I found that MEK works well to remove Ekobond from an iron.
